MEDIA SKATEPARK MISSION CONTINUING JOHNNY’S LEGACY IN BHUTAN
Media Skatepark Mission With Nestor Judkins and Johnny Strange’s legacy continues to thrive as the skatepark and media lab from Bhutan and Salad Days Of Skateboarding light up young lives. Equipped with 5 MacBooks and 7 GoPros, the new media lab empowers kids to capture their adventures and explore their creativity. This year, pro skaters from Vans Asia Pacific, Basral Graito (Indonesia) and Daiki Hosino (Japan), left an indelible mark, inspiring the kids with their talent. A media workshop was also held at the Bhutan Olympic Committee (BOC), sharing skills with photographers and videographers from across the region.
Watching familiar faces who’ve been skating since the park first opened, Johnny would have been proud of their progress, their eyes full of passion, fire, and dreams. The skatepark has not only become a training ground for athletes but a haven for young minds to express, learn, and thrive.
Thank you to Nestor Judkins for your unwavering support in making this a reality alongside all those involved. Every kickflip, every smile, every new skill learned honors Johnny’s adventurous spirit and passion for life.
